Bring the needle up at A, move up and to the left over four canvas intersections, bring the needle down at B. Bring the needle up at C, move up and to the right over four canvas intersections, bring the needle down at D. Now, continue on to Diagram 2...
Triple Leviathan Stitch (Diagram 2):
Beginning where we left off at D, bring the needle up at E, move up over four canvas threads and to the left over two canvas threads, bring the needle down at F. Bring the needle up at G, move down over two canvas threads and to the right over four canvas threads, bring the needle down at H. Bring the needle up at I, move up four canvas threads and to the right over two canvas threads, bring the needle down at J. Bring the needle up at K, move down two canvas threads and to the left over four canvas threads, bring the needle down at L.Now, continue on to Diagram 3...
Triple Leviathan Stitch (Diagram 3):
Beginning where we left off at L, bring the needle up at M, move down over two canvas threads, bring the needle down at N. Bring the needle up at O, move to the right over two canvas threads, bring the needle down at P. Now, continue on to Diagram 4...
Triple Leviathan Stitch (Diagram 4):
Beginning where we left off at P, bring the needle up at Q, move to the left over two canvas threads, bring the needle down at P. Bring the needle up at H, move up two canvas threads, bring the needle down at K. To complete this stitch, simply add the other three Upright Cross Stitches per the above Diagram.
The Triple Leviathan Stitch, like the
double leviathan stitch is an expanded variation of the regular leviathan stitch. Like the other two leviathan stitches, the triple leviathan stitch creates a raised appearance. Four diagrams have been used to demonstrate this stitch.
